A comprehensive collection of flu updates and flu advice from the Centers for Disease Control's primary site.  Includes information for specific population groups as well as information about tests. vaccines, medications, and masks.  Also includes advice for travelers and numerous FAQs.

   Flu Activity at Colleges by State - NEW
Influenza activity reported to American College Health Association by institutions of higher education participating in the ACHA's influenza surveillance network. Site includes current weekly data as well as cumulative data.

  Virginia Vaccination Sites - NEW
Put in your location (city or ZIP code) to get a list of public vaccination sites when the H1N1 vaccine becomes available.   
NOTE:   While this Virginia Vaccination website lists many vaccination locations, virtually none of them currently have the vaccine available.  You can still use this locator to find the  nearest location registered to give the shots WHEN the vaccine is available - but call first to confirm if it's available.

This FDA list alerts consumers about websites (to which the FDA has issued warning letters) that are or were illegally marketing unapproved, uncleared, or unauthorized H1N1 products.

   Mayo Clinic - Flu Information
The Mayo Clinic's Swine Flu/N1H1 site.  Includes advice about prevention, cautions and complications, and treatment options. 

   Medline - Flu Information
Swine Flu/N1H1 information from the US National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.  Includes information on diagnosis and symptoms, treatment, videos, and clinical trials and research.  Available in multiple languages.

   NIAID - Flu Information
Detailed and technical research findings on influenza viruses and vaccines from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).  Includes information on transmission, symptoms, diagnosis, complications, treatment, and prevention.
